Our Godson Zachary

Hello blogworld. Is there really anyone out there? I am calling on anyone and everyone who may possibly read this to take a moment and say a prayer for our Godson Zachary. On day 2 of his little life his wonderful pediatrician saw something in him that just didn't look normal. Two months later it would be confirmed that he suffers from a condition called craniosynostosis. Although he suffers from the lesser of the three types, no doubt this is still scary for everyone. He will undergo an 8 hour surgery on Wednesday, April 29th. I won't go into the exact details just know that it is evasive and a long road of recovery for not only him, but his mom, dad and big sis. We have known about the surgery for about 6 weeks now, however now that it is looming everyone is struggling. Our little Zach is only 6 months. He is without a doubt the happiest baby I have ever been around. I think when he cries he is still smiling and crying is a rarity (although I am not there at night !!).

So...with that said I am calling in all favors, which i know no one owes me anything, so I guess that means I owe all of you. We need prayers. We have faith in God everything will be smooth with no complications and that his recovery will be swift. We will keep everyone posted on his condition however feel free to visit their blog: http://www.kimandmark.us/

Say a little prayer...

Recently I have been having some stomach issues and after many Dr. vists, they have decided to do a little procedure and take a look at things (from the top not the bottom thank goodness!!!). So please if you have a moment say a little prayer for me today. I am on my way to the hospital in 10 minutes and my nerves are starting to get the best of me! While your at it throw one in for Greg, he has to take care of me!

Double Life

Apparently Saturday night I was in two places at once. My good friend Kim who is also my boss retrieved a voice mail from her phone Sunday night that went a little something like this:
"Hey Gina, its Ron. Just thought I would call and say hey. Give me a call xxx-xxx-xxxx." So my "boss" calls me and asks if I know a Ron. Of course I say no and she proceeds to tell me about the voice mail. So I take the # and give "Ron" a call. This was the conversation:

R: Hello?
Me: Hi, this is Gina Strychar I am trying to reach a Ron?
R: This is Ron.
Me: Who are you?
R: Who is this?
Me: Gina
R: Oh, hey Gina, remember me, we met at the bar last night.
Me: WHAT!?!?!
R: Yeah, don't you remember we met last night at the bar.
Me: NO. We didn't meet at the bar last night.
R: Yeah we did, this is Regina right?
Me: No, this is Gina, just plain Gina. I think that someone gave you a fake phone number.
R: What?
Me: The cell # that you called happens to be my boss who happens to be very married with two kids. I myself am married and my husband is sitting right here beside me.
R: Who's married?
Me: The women who's cell phone you called today. Her name is Kim, she is my boss and you asked for me on her cell phone. As a matter of fact I was at her house last night. I was not at any bar. I am afraid that whoever you met gave you a fake number. Sorry to be the one to have to tell you that. ( Here I am laughing uncontrollably). Better luck next time.
R: Okay, thanks.

This by far had to be the strangest coincidental thing to ever happen to me. What are the chances that this "women" gave out my friend's number to some random, might I add very gay sounding guy and he happened to ask for a Gina?

So the big question around here is "So, Gina... what have YOU been up to lately?"

Gas or Charcoal?

Ok dad now when you come up next month you will have a choice. You like?
